Rules
- Judging will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m.
- The Show Committee, and Berlin Lions Club will not be held responsible for any injury to animals or persons, or damage to property of exhibitors or spectators.
- Horses without required current rabies certificate will not be shown.
- Horses behaving unsafely or found to be unsound may be asked to leave the ring.
- Known or suspected kickers must be identified by wearing a red ribbon tied to the tail.
- Horses should not be left unattended.
- Due to other Berlin Fair events scheduled for the horse show area, all horse trailers and associated vehicles must leave the show area by 3 p.m.
Fees
- No refunds for any reason except for bonafide injury to horse or rider.
- No refunds for scratches from class(es).
- No post entry fee for class #21.
- $75 all day fee available for Pre-Entries only!
Rider Requirements & Class Information
- Leadline Ð Riders 8 years of age or younger as of January 1st of the current year.
- Walk/Trot Ð All ages, riders must never have loped or cantered in a class.
- Junior Ð Riders 13 years of age and under as of January 1st of the current year.
- Senior Ð Riders 14 years of age through 18 years of age as of January 1st of the current year.
Open classes are open to exhibitors of all ages, with the exception of walk/trot riders. Walk/trot riders must never have loped or cantered in a class.
Suitable and neat attire to be worn in all classes. The use of protective headgear will not be penalized in any class. Chaps allowed including Leadline class.
All trail classes will be held in the trail ring starting after class #5 is complete. Please do your trail early!
Classes will be called three times. The class will close 2 minutes after the last call. Exhibitors entered but not present will be barred from the class and will forfeit any entry fees.
Awards & Judging
- A first place award and six ribbons will be presented in each class.
- To be eligible for a division championship, the same horse/rider combination must show in all 4 classes in that division.
- Ties for championships will be decided by placings in equitation or horsemanship classes.
- The Show Committee reserves the right to combine or cancel any class.
- All inquires should be directed to the Show Office. Not the Judge!
- All decisions made by the Show Committee will remain final!

Trail Classes #16-20 and #32-36 in the trail ring will run concurrently with the classes in the main ring.

Results will not be announced until all trail classes have been completed.

Entry Fees
- $10 per class for championship classes.
- $5 for classes #21.
- $75 All day entry fee for unlimited # of classes for each horse/rider combination. Available for Pre-Entries Only
To avoid post entry penalty ($10.00), pre-entries must be received BEFORE September 30, 2008. Entry fees need not accompany pre-entries. Payment is due the day of show. Entry fees must be paid before the rider enters the ring. (Signed blank check to Berlin Fair may be accepted). No post-entry fee for class #21.
Current rabies and coggins certificates required.
Due to limited space in Horse Show area parking will be limited. Show participants will be allowed one trailer and one additional person. A fee for any additional people or vehicles parking at Horse Show will be determined.
